Our story
“There has to be a better way.”
After years working for some of the larger IT consulting firms in Orange County, Justin Henretta kept noticing the same problem: clients weren’t being heard. Service was reactive. Relationships were transactional. And when something went wrong, the burden always seemed to fall on the client.
So in April 2011, he and Kristin started Skyward Technical Solutions — with a different model in mind.
IT is in Justin’s DNA. His father served in the US Navy before joining HP’s original plotter team in the early days of personal computing — back when the industry was still figuring out what it was. Justin grew up watching technology reshape how businesses worked, and he carried that long view into every client relationship he’s built since.
What made starting Skyward feel inevitable was a pattern Justin kept noticing throughout his career: every time he changed firms, his former clients and colleagues would call him personally. Not the company — him. That signal was hard to ignore.
Skyward was built on what that pattern pointed to: that people want a real relationship with their IT provider, not a ticket number.

Justin Henretta
CEO & Founder
We started Skyward in 2011 because we believed Orange County businesses deserved the same level of IT partnership that large enterprises take for granted — and we weren’t seeing that from the firms I’d worked for. I’m a second-generation IT professional; my father was on HP’s original plotter team, and I grew up watching technology shape how businesses work. That perspective has guided every client relationship we’ve built over the past 14 years. My job is to listen — really listen — to what your business needs, and make sure our team delivers it.
Kristin Henretta
COO
My role at Skyward is to make sure everything behind the scenes runs the way it should — so our team can focus entirely on our clients. I oversee operations, finance, and the team infrastructure that allows Skyward to deliver on its promises day in, day out. If the client experience feels seamless, a lot of that is because of the systems and people working behind it.
